CaRe-T1D Celebrates Its First Publication!

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), the Diabetes and Diabetes Care journals have published a special collection of articles highlighting impactful research supported by NIDDK. This series showcases major scientific and clinical advances in understanding, preventing, and treating diabetes and its complications. We're proud to share that the CaRe-T1D consortium was featured in this collection. It's also a milestone for the consortium as its first publication. The article highlights current challenges in understanding cardiovascular disease in type 1 diabetes, how it differs from type 2 diabetes, and presents the CaRe-T1D program's unique operational model.

What We Do

The goal of Cardiovascular Biorepository for Type 1 Diabetes Program (CaRe-T1D) is to fill a major void of knowledge that exists related to cardiovascular disease in type 1 diabetes.
